About Me

Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Vanessa Prema. I’m a seasoned software engineer with a passion for innovation, design, and cutting-edge technology. My journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Georgia Tech, where I honed my skills in problem-solving and critical thinking. A pivotal moment in my career was an internship at a fashion technology incubator in Berlin, Germany. There, I fused my engineering background with creativity, collaborating with designers to craft innovative wearable technology, integrating microcontrollers, alternative textiles, and 3D printing.

Driven by a growing fascination with software development, I transitioned into the tech industry, where I've since led and contributed to high-impact projects across various domains. My work spans from developing sophisticated React-based interfaces to architecting complex backend systems on platforms like Google Cloud. I’ve consistently delivered solutions that align with business goals, whether it’s enhancing inventory systems at NCR Voyix or creating platforms for virtual litigation at Calloquy, PBC.

Currently, I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning at Georgia Tech. Here, I’m diving deep into advanced algorithms, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence, applying these concepts to develop and implement machine learning models. My passion for learning and growth drives me to continuously explore new frontiers in technology, blending my engineering roots with my software development expertise.
